Netflix's cooking show, "Black and White Chefs: Culinary Class War," captivated the world in the latter half of 2024.
However, there's another program that could be considered the original.
JTBC's cooking talk show, "Please, Take Care of My Refrigerator," which aired for five years starting in November 2014, created approximately 257 guest appearances and 1,018 dishes,
receiving much love.
It's often abbreviated as [NFR].

Guests brought their actual refrigerators from home to the studio,
and the show featured a competition where chefs created dishes within 15 minutes using only the ingredients in the refrigerator.
Wouldn't you say this program spearheaded the popularity of Korean "cookbang"?
* Cookbang: A portmanteau of the English word ‘cook’ and the Korean word for ‘broadcast’ (방송)
Announcer Kim Seong-ju and former national football player Ahn Jung-hwan hosted the show, commentating on the cooking competition with the excitement and humor of a sports broadcast.
They provided a lively and humorous commentary on the cooking competition.
I was a devoted viewer of [NFR], never missing an episode.
The fun of seeing the refrigerators of stars.
The limited ingredients and unexpectedly given cooking themes.
The unpredictable opponent.
The extreme time constraints.
In particular, the chaotic cooking process of non-professional and professional chefs provided a variety of entertainment.
Since the win or loss depended entirely on the refrigerator owner's assessment, the focus was less on determining the winner and more on enjoying the creation of diverse dishes from limited ingredients.
It seemed to fall into a bit of a rut as the show went on, but when its cancellation was announced, I thought it was better to end at the right time...
Watching [Black and White Chefs], I thought, 'Ah, the original program was [NFR].'
But after five long years, "Please, Take Care of My Refrigerator" has been confirmed for a season 2.
Confirmed to premiere on December 15th, "Please, Take Care of My Refrigerator" season 2 will feature a diverse lineup of chefs,
and will meet viewers with an even more special appearance to commemorate its 10th anniversary.
Lee Yeon-bok, Choi Hyun-seok, Kim Poong, Jeong Ho-youngwill return as the original chef lineup,
with new faces joining to add freshness.

Edward Lee, in particular, is a world-renowned chef boasting a win on ‘Iron Chef America.’
He is also known as the chef for state dinners at the White House, and recently proved his entertainment skills by winning second place on ‘Black and White Chefs.’ News of his appearance is already creating a buzz among fans.
Yoon Nam-no previously appeared on ‘Please, Take Care of My Refrigerator’ as a child, and this time, he will participate as a chef, showcasing his unique charm.
Meanwhile, Lee Mi-yeong, known as the "school lunch master," is known for not operating a restaurant, making her 15-minute dish a major highlight of this season.

The return of the original members is also welcome news for fans.
Chef Choi Hyun-seok recently gained renewed public attention through his active appearances on variety shows,
and writer Kim Poongannounced his appearance on his YouTube channel, ‘Chimchakman,’raising expectations.
Chef Lee Yeon-bok will also inject vitality into the program with his still-excellent skills,
and Chef Jeong Ho-young seems likely to liven up the atmosphere with his characteristic cheerfulness.
The production team stated that they plan to change the chef matchups in this season.
They intend to create new chef combinations for specific episodesto provide viewers with the matchups they want to see,
and I expect this to provide diverse viewing experiences, making this season even better than season 1.
