From May 10th to July 31st, 2024, the "Hyunse Lee's Path: The Beginning of K-Webtoon Legend Special Exhibition" will be held at the National Library of Korea, Main Building, 1st Floor Exhibition Hall.

This exhibition is a special opportunity to look back on the 50-year career of Hyunse Lee, a master of Korean comics and a pioneer of K-webtoons, and to shed light on his artistic world from various perspectives.

[Exhibition Structure]

Part 1: Tunnel of Time - It introduces Hyunse Lee's artistic activities from his entry into the comic world in 1974 to 2020 in chronological order.

Through his representative works of the time, as well as rare sketches and materials, you can see his artistic growth and changes.

Part 2: Into the Artwork - Exhibits over 120 original artworks from various works, including the author's masterpiece "The Outsiders of Terror."

You can meet the author's iconic images, including the characters of "Cacci" and "Thumb," and experience the author's world reborn as a media art work.

Part 3: Steps Toward the Future - Introduces movies and animations produced based on Hyunse Lee's works,

and provides various interactive content using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

In particular, the "AI Hyunse Lee" corner, where an AI robot draws a portrait in the style of Hyunse Lee based on the visitor's face, is gaining popularity.
